Well, today I’ve received word that I have been made redundant from my current job.

For the past six months, I had been part of a project to test out a new platform for jobseekers that was being developed. With so many job losses at the moment thanks or should I say no thanks to covid I felt blessed and grateful to have such an opportunity.

I was employed casual and yes the work and therefore the pay was very sporadic but it was still a job.

But through no fault of my own higher up managers had decided to move in a new and more experienced customer experience tester to further develop the platform and upcoming app.

The idea was to test out certain links and report back any issues or suggestions in regards to useability. It needed to be established whether certain links within the platform worked across all platforms like apple or android phones or only one type. Then the reported back information would be looked at by the I.T department and any issues would be resolved or improved.

I felt it was a great opportunity not only because I had a job for a few months, but I was part of something being developed.

Naturally, I was a little disappointed someone else has been bought in to replace the team already there…
