Day 2 of my NaNoWriMo 30-day challenge

It’s now November 2nd, 2020 in Sydney Australia. And so far so good I’m on track with the challenge I’ve given myself to write every day this month for 30 days.

I’m thrilled to see such a positive response to my first blog entry yesterday marking the start of this 30-day journey.

While this year has been far from good for any of us I hold on to any shred of hope during this time, and for me, at least one thing I can control is writing.

Though I know I can’t control if my laptop suddenly decides to die, or I can’t control the weather. I’m focusing on what I can control.

I get up the same time every day at 5 am ready for my routine of coffee and breakfast before getting ready for the day. I’m grateful I do still have a job at the moment and it’s working from home but the work is very sporadic, meaning, no work, no pay.

Again I can’t control when the next wave of work comes in so I’m trying to use the time in between doing what I love which is writing. Writing for me has always been an escape without needing to pack a bag and actually do so. It can take us anywhere at any time, exactly the same as reading which I…
