Day 3 of My NaNoWriMo 30-day Challenge : Can’t see forest for the trees
Last night I watched Medicine Man, which is one of my many Sean Connery movies I have on DVD. I’ve seen it many times but I always enjoy watching it
It was made in 1992 but still is a great movie to watch. Connery plays a recluse botanist named Dr. Robert Campbell. Who has lived deep in the Amazon jungle for years away from his old life and has rebuilt a new one in the quest to find the cure for cancer.
His research leads him to request an assistant from the foundation who supports him in his research.
The movie starts with a seemingly upper-class young lady not accustomed to anything less than 5-star luxury. She gets off a plan first filing her nails before making a trip across the river by boat and getting wet from the tropical weather in the amazon rain forest. We see the reality of the destruction of the Amazon rain forest which is at the mercy of bulldozers unable to defend itself.
