I deleted candy crush from my phone and here’s why
While the whole world is in lockdown right now with the uncertainty of coronavirus lingering over our daily lives and turning us into beings that have suddenly discovered how bored we are, it can be all to easy to play games on our phones while we pass the time trying to fill our days in.
I recently deleted candy crush and candy crush soda from my phone. Not only was I finding it a mindless way to keep myself occupied for a bit, but it was also too easy to pay for more lives especially when there would be only one candy left to complete to get to the next level.
It was too easy to be feeling down and needing a boost of excitement to finishing a level and onto a new one…even if we’d have to pay for it. And while I’m saving money with not going out and impulsively buying things at the moment anyway I started to feel it was such a waste of money I started spending on candy crush.
It started off to be relaxing but has since become competitive and frankly not enjoyable anymore. So I deleted it as well as candy crush soda and have found other great apps like paint by number and coloring in apps which still give that level of accomplishment of finishing a picture without running out of lives and feeling tempted to pay for more.
