I got my first medium pay and I couldn’t be happier

When I first started blogging on medium this year in January I didn’t know what to expect.

It was something I was pondering the idea of for a while but never really did anything with the idea.

Then this year I thought what the hell and I signed up to the medium partner program.

While it was $5 usd per month, because I live in Australia the conversion of exchange rate is really bad at the moment so it costs me nearly $7 a month.

I’m also subjected to 5% tax withholding in my earnings so after I read all the fine print I took that deep breath and dived in.

While I’ve read blog stories that people have made $10,000 a month, I’m sorry but I’m skeptical.

My first story I earnt a whole six cents usd. I thought what the hell have I done. But I was comforted to know I could cancel my membership anytime so that was okay.

I then discovered heaps of medium writer groups on Facebook where writing works could be uploaded…

Like magic my stats increased and people were reading my work.

But writing was only half the work, I also had to promote my work too.

My medium pay for last month came in and I received a text message from medium to say $7.41 AUD had been sent to my bank…
