This time last year…..
Facebook is a great platform, especially at the moment with being so far from the people we are used to seeing. It’s through social media I can still keep in contact with friends and family.
But it also reminds us of a past that at present seems no more. In my Facebook memories today, it popped up that it has been two years since I announced fourteen days to go till I was about to travel to Hawaii for the very first time by myself.
I was excited and nervous but I had everything booked and ready and I was just waiting for my flight date. It had been a dream of mine for so long and it wasn’t until I put that dream into action that it became a reality for me.
Okay, so that was two years ago, now getting back to a year ago, just 365 days ago. This time last year I was nearing the end of my contract job. I loved that job but unfortunately, it was contract/temp. It hurt that no matter what I did and no matter how hard I worked I was still finishing up soon.
But the best piece of advice I was given was that I’m not starting from scratch, I’m starting from experience. And so I took that with me and was excited to enter 2020 of a new year and new decade with skills and experience at the ready.
Then as we all know, 2020 came to a screeching halt.
